Durant Tyson was indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and two counts of felonious assault. The charges stem from a home invasion back in July of this year in the 1600 block of West Wayne Street. Tyson appeared for a pre-trial where he signed a speedy trial waiver. The waiver will now allow his attorney, Jerry Pitts, time to prepare for his case. The defense also requested lowering Tyson's bond, but the request was denied by the judge.
48-year-old John Sanders is facing charges of Felonious Assault and Kidnapping, both with a gun specification. Police say Sanders was involved in a domestic dispute with his former girlfriend in September. During the argument, she left the home and came back to get something, and Sanders shot twice through the door nearly hitting her.
32-year-old Chainze Tucker was arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred at Markos in downtown Lima. According to Lima police, Tucker shot 44-year-old Ralph Upshaw. The Allen County Grand Jury indicted Tucker on one count of attempted murder (F1) with a firearm specification, as well as two repeat violent offender specifications.
Marcos Jesus Zavala appeared in Putnam County Common Pleas Court on Thursday for his final pre-trial. According to the indictment, Zavala was arrested after failing to seek medical attention for his son during the dates between May 17th, 2019 to August 21st, 2019, resulting in serious physical harm. Zavala was indicted on one count of Felonious Assault (2nd Degree Felony) and one count of Endangering Children (3rd Degree Felony).
