"Sometimes, Life is Like a Cartoon"

The creative process of cartoons draws a crowd to the Allen County Museum.  

David Adams has been creating cartoons for Allen County for more than 40 years, and he explained his passion for drawing to the public on Sunday.  Audience members got a chance to learn how single-panel cartoons are made, along with looking at some of Adams' work.    

Adams is glad to be able to give his gift of drawing back to the community.

"This compulsion that I have to cartoon, to draw cartoons, which has been with me virtually my whole life, is something like a gift, a talent, a passion for it.  As local organizations and non-profits have incorporated into their programs my cartoons, fundraising and otherwise, it's nice to be able to give that gift back," said Adams, who is a Associate Professor of Sociology Emeritus at OSU Lima.

Adams donated more than 100 cartoon-illustrated T-shirts to the museum.
