There are lots of activities that people look forward to once the air gets cooler and the leaves change color, that's everything from apple picking to finding the perfect pumpkin for the porch.

One place that has been inviting folks in to enjoy those fall things is Suter Produce, just outside of Pandora. There's something for everyone in the family to enjoy, like the corn maze, with the theme this year matching the milestone anniversary of the moon landing.

"We’ve always kind of liked the space theme and Neil Armstrong, and we're proud of a local boy," said Jerry Suter, co-owner of Suter Produce. "It just seemed the right like the right topic for this year and we’re glad we picked it."

New this year is the field of sunflowers that is right next to the pumpkin patch, and with over 20 different varieties, there's plenty to pick from and place into your own unique bouquet.

Growing the flowers was a new avenue for the farm - but those with Suter say that it's been a big success so far.

"There’s quite a few people that didn’t know that there were sunflowers and this is our first year for the sunflowers, they turned out better than we thought they could," Suter said. "People are welcome to pick different vase sizes and just walk around and take a lot of pictures, and just kind of walk around and enjoy the beauty."

The wet spring put a slight damper on the planting process for Suter - but it didn't affect everything that the farm has to offer for the fall season.

"Sweet corn we weren’t able to plan as early as we wanted to, but the sunflowers were planted a little later and by that time all of the incessant rains had slowed down - so it actually was just right for the flowers," Suter said.
