Residents of McKinley Road in St. Marys witnessed it all happen as the pole lines and wires came down, leading to the closure of the road Friday morning. Electric company technicians were out early, working on repairing the damage to the lines and clearing up the debris so that people could eventually travel on the road.

"Yeah, there was some serious straight-line winds down through here. We were watching the clouds build and swirl around over the area of the car lot and saw a funnel off to the side of us, and then the rain wall hit, so we ran out across and got on our deck and stood and watched as all of this went down," explained Mark Bowers, a St. Marys resident.
