On Jan. 27 Ultimate Racing Promotions held their 35th annual Giant Auto Parts Swap Meet, attracting people from all across the country.
Thousands of people showed up at Sunday’s swap meet at the Allen County Fairgrounds, a yearly event with over 200 vendors and thousands of auto parts and fuel for sale.
Throughout the four buildings, attendees had the opportunity to buy anything from tires, fuel, steering wheels, car audio, various tools and more. One Sonoco fuel distributor said he enjoys being a vendor at the swap meet because it allows him to connect with his clients.
“We’ve been coming to the show now for five years and it gives us a chance to connect directly with the end users and our customers,” said Brian Bazell, owner of Bazell Race Fuels.
The organizer of the event said that the swap meet is of great benefit for the customers.
“We’re not just a swap meet,” said Kathy Fisher, Ultimate Racing Promotions co-promoter. “ The building that we are standing in right now is called the new Product Pavilion. It’s something a little different for a swap meet. It’s like a mini trade show. So you can visit with all types of companies, the manufacturers themselves. You’re not going to get that at just any swap meet.”
The next auto part swap meet will take place on the last Sunday of January 2020.
