LIMA, OH (WLIO) - While it may be hard to believe, the end of summer is quickly approaching which means another school year is about to start!
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office has released the dash camera video from Deputy Izak Ackerman's patrol car on June 21st. The video shows the attempted traffic stop of Quincy Prichett around 2:30 in the morning and the foot chase that led to Prichett being shot and killed and Ackerman being struck in the face by a bullet. It's not one size fits all when it comes to education and the Lima City Schools is about to set on a journey to provide an individualized education for each of its students.
Ackerman began a morning press conference stating public schools continued to be attacked yet produce well-rounded students.
The Ohio Department of Education has released its latest report cards on how districts performed last school year. The state report card includes rankings for overall student achievement and annual progress as well as a number of other categories.
