Tysheen Polk entered a plea agreement with the state that will have him withdraw his previous plea of not guilty and enter a new plea of guilty to his sole felonious assault charge. In exchange for the plea, the state will not make a sentencing recommendation but reserves the right to show a video of the fight at sentencing.

This is just another way that the West Ohio Food Bank is working to make sure they are meeting the needs of those they serve.

Nutrien is asking for 50% tax abatement for 10 years on the construction of a storage building and office space for contractors that are working at their facility. Lakeview Farms in Delphos is looking at a 100,000 square foot expansion of their plant to add a new production line and warehouse space, that could cost between 35 and 40 million dollars.

Elstro’s last day on the job is Thursday before he starts his retirement, and councilors each gave their thanks for his guidance and decorum over the years. Elstro says he has attended over 830 council meetings and countless other committees, finance, and citizen meetings. He says it has been a pleasure serving the council, the city, and its people.

With the approval of a 50% 10-year property tax abatement, a Holiday Inn and Suites will be located on the 2.6-acres of land just east the Applebee’s. This Enterprise Zone agreement is with Lima Partners, LLC who is heading up the new motel project and economic development officials say it’s going to be good for the county.

An agreement to increase oil production has not been reached because of a dispute between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which is putting a lot of uncertainty into the oil market. If they do not come to an agreement, gas prices could reach $4 a gallon. The proposal is to increase production by 400,000 barrels a day every month for the rest of 2021, which would stabilize prices.
