Lima police, fire, and EMS responded to a crash at a busy intersection Monday afternoon. Just after 3 p.m., a Volkswagen and an SUV collided at the intersection of Allentown and Cable Roads in Lima. The Volkswagen suffered front right damage, and the SUV sustained damage to its right side with airbag deployment. No one was injured in the crash. Traffic was briefly redirected as crews cleaned up the scene.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Allentown and Cable roads on Lima's west end. Both vehicles, a red sedan and a silver SUV, sustained significant front end damage with air bag deployment. At this time, the cause of the accident and any known injuries have not been released.
A man is now in the hospital after his dump truck flipped over on Allentown Road on Wednesday afternoon. The Lima Police Department and the American Township Fire Department were dispatched to the scene around 2 p.m. According to police, the man was driving at a normal speed as he turned into the Walmart parking lot. However, the shift in the load caused the truck to overturn. He was transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita's with minor injuries. He'll be cited for a violation of an unsafe load.
