UPDATE INCLUDES INFORMATION FROM LPD CRASH REPORT: Benjamin Blakely was involved in a rear-end accident near the intersection of Allentown and North Cole.
Blakely began arguing with the driver of the vehicle he rear-ended. He then attempted to flee the scene, and the other driver, Greguy Nelson, tried to enter the driver’s side of Blakely's car to prevent him from leaving.
Blakely continued westbound on Allentown in the center turn lane, with Nelson still holding onto the vehicle. Blakely veered off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree in the tree lawn.
Blakely was transported to St. Rita's Medical Center. His injuries are unknown. He has not been cited at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Nelson was also transported to St. Rita's Medical Center. Greguy had a compound fracture to his right arm. His other injuries are unknown at this time

LIMA, OH (WLIO) — Lima police officers are investigating a crash that sent three people to the hospital.
The crash occurred Tuesday just before 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Allentown Road.

The details of the crash have not been released by the Lima Police Department, but fire department officials say that two people were taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries and one with minor injuries.
The area was closed to traffic for about an hour while the investigation was underway.
