We are excited to announce an upcoming exhibit at Mercy Health, featuring the stunning work of Carey Pedlow and Gabe Taviano. Carey Pedlow has been deeply involved in the arts since a young age, which led to her over 30-year career teaching K-12 art in Illustration, Ceramics, and Metalsmithing. Gabe Taviano has a background in Graphic Design and currently serves as the Director of Marketing at the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce.

July 18, 2024, Press Release from the American Society of Ephesus, Inc.: RUSSELLS POINT, Ohio, July 18, 2024 – On March 14, 2024, the 60-year old Our Lady of Fatima Shrine at Indian Lake was destroyed by an EF-3 tornado that hit the lake region. The 20-foot-tall fiberglass statue was blown far out into the lake and was lost. Efforts to locate the statue by drone were not successful for over two weeks.

June 1, 2024, Press Release by ArtSpace/Lima: ArtSpace is excited to introduce its inaugural 'Open Wall' event, offering a unique opportunity for emerging artists to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting. The idea started with the news about a 51-year-old exhibition technician and self-proclaimed ‘freelance artist’ who smuggled one of his paintings into the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Germany, on February 26th , and hung it on a wall in one of the galleries. After security discovered the newest addition to the museum’s collections, they promptly took down the display and the man was fired.

Artspace/Lima is trying a new event to give emerging artists a chance to exhibit their work. The "Open Wall" exhibit is a first-come, first-served opportunity to get a 6 x 6 space in the Ellen Nelson Gallery. The goal is to foster artistic expression and community engagement. There are 20 spaces available, and the organizers hope that they will fill up quickly. The work will be exhibited from July 9th through the 19th and is open to any artist looking to exhibit their work and have their 15 minutes of fame.

Art lovers, rejoice! ArtSpace/Lima announced its expansion plans on Monday, a project that will transform the gallery into a full-fledged museum. Just over a year ago, a donor stepped forward with a vision to expand Artspace, offering to finance the vacant building next to the current gallery in downtown Lima. That vision is becoming a reality, as building renovations are set to kick off this month. And that work will help ArtSpace take the next step to becoming a museum.
