August 11, 2024, Press Release from ArtSpace/Lima: There is a new colorful exhibit at Mercy Health, located on the second floor. We are excited to announce an upcoming exhibit at Mercy Health, featuring the stunning work of Carey Pedlow and Gabe Taviano.

Carey Pedlow has been deeply involved in the arts since a young age, which led to her over 30-year career teaching K-12 art in Illustration, Ceramics, and Metalsmithing. Upon retiring from teaching high school art, Carey found herself drawn back to her love of metalsmithing, transforming it into a passion. Her appreciation for nature and the beauty within it inspired the creation of ‘Tilted Stone Jewelry,’ where she masterfully blends natural elements with artistic craftsmanship.

Gabe Taviano has a background in Graphic Design and currently serves as the Director of Marketing at the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce. Despite his professional role, photography has remained Gabe's primary focus and passion for the past 15 years. His work captures the essence of everyday moments and scenes, bringing them to life through his unique perspective.

This exhibit promises to be a captivating showcase of artistic talent, with Carey’s nature-inspired jewelry pieces and Gabe’s striking photography providing a perfect complement to one another. We invite everyone to visit the exhibit and experience the creativity and dedication these artists bring to their work. The display is free and open to the public and will remain up until December 31, 2024.

The exhibit is part of an ongoing partnership between ArtSpace and Mercy Health, with the belief that art can influence mood and promote healing. ArtSpace brings a variety of visual art to viewers on the second-floor gallery.
