Beer Barrel was hopping with people getting some good Irish food this afternoon. Patrons were wearing their green showing their Irish Pride and some even enjoying a green beer for the occasion. There was something for everyone, even if you weren’t Irish. Over at The Met, the kitchen was busy making their Irish dishes and libations with several green options on the menu.

This location will not only draw from Allen County but also portions of Hardin County. Good Food Restaurants pivoted during 2020 and the COVID restrictions with drive-through and online sales. Heaphy says that business in 2021 is on target to surpass 2019 numbers.
Allen County commissioners entering into an enterprise zone agreement with Beer Barrel Incorporated. It approves a 10-year, 50-percent tax abatement for the land and building. The new construction will be 11,000 square feet, located at 2755 Harding Highway near the Allen County Fairgrounds. The project is a $3 and a half million dollar investment in the community, creating 25 new full time positions and 55 part-time.
It’s been a long time coming, but people are now able to enjoy dining in at their favorite restaurants, but not without seeing a few changes be made. Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill in Lima welcomed customers in the door today for the first time since March. Customers got quite a different dining experience since their last visit, and it’s a change from old routines practiced in restaurants everywhere before the pandemic. No more waiting in the lobby for your table, no more physical menus, and empty seats throughout the dining room to ensure social distancing.
The Beer Barrel brand is expanding, as they have opened up their 8th location just outside of Dublin on Tuesday. The Dublin Green Beer Barrel is the third restaurant to open in the Columbus area, behind their Hillard location in 2016 and Polaris location in December of last year. The latest restaurant will be different than in other locations. Besides the Beer Barrel staples, it'll also have a bourbon barrel room, featuring 100 different liquors and tastings throughout the year.
