Crime Victim Services has coordinated their 7th annual free credit check on Wednesday, November 30th. A total of five financial institutions and 18 branch locations in Allen and Putnam Counties are participating this year. The Better Business Bureau recommends checking your credit report twice a year, and this free credit check allows people to spot potential fraud and get a better idea of overall credit health.
The Lima branch of the NAACP is urging people to exercise their right to vote. The organization held a voter registration drive Saturday at Vibe Coffeehouse. The NAACP had voter registration and forms for people to request an absentee ballot for the November 8th election. They want to make sure that people not only get registered for the first time, but if they were dropped from a voting role that they can get re-registered to be part of the process.

Ohio is one of a few states that offers an in-state judicial college through the Ohio Supreme Court for court managers. Areas covered are leadership, court performance, accountability, and budgeting. Carroll says it's important that people understand the importance of an independent judiciary.
The Lima NAACP Branch hosted their 2022 Scholarship Banquet at Rhodes State College for high school graduates pursuing a college education.
The Pandora-based bank will be building their newest branch off of Eastown Road between Menards and Lock 16. This will be their sixth full-service branch, but the first in the Lima area. First National Bank has been around for over 100 years helping residents with their small business and personal banking needs, and they have been looking at making the move to Lima for a while and are excited to get started on the construction.
