The event was held by the Bath High School Interact Club as part of their mission to promote driver safety programs. Club members greeted students as they arrived at school to check if they were wearing seatbelts. A free McDonald's McFlurry coupon was handed to each student who arrived with their seatbelt fastened as a reward for complying with the law. Those who were found driving unrestrained were issued a fake ticket citation.

As the holiday season approaches the OSHP is reminding drivers to buckle up. Buckling up is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself, and the people you are riding with. Since 2015, there have been 2,600 people killed in crashes because they were not wearing a seatbelt.

With thousands of people expected to attend the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals at the Allen County Fairgrounds this weekend, what better place to kick off the click it or ticket campaign.
