On Monday evening, Temple Christian School unveiled their new elementary building to the public ahead of the upcoming school year. Around 150 people came out to the facility located at 750 Brower Road in Lima. The 32,000 square-foot facility, formerly the Lima Manor, will house grades kindergarten through 5th grade and includes 16 classrooms, a complete kitchen and lunchroom, and additional office space. Over the past 5 years, Temple Christian has observed a 45% increase in the student population to a current enrollment of 360 students. As the elementary students move into the new building, school officials are ready to serve the growing number of students.
Heir Force Community School unveils a bright new future, with new buildings and opportunities on the way. That new chapter for Heir Force Community School begins this summer, as they are moving out of buildings owned by Cornerstone Church and into their own space. Heir Force has bought the building at 799 North Main Street and will be turning that into a kindergarten through fourth grade building. The renovations of this new space will begin this school year.

Training courses through Motorcycle Ohio begin as early as March and run through early November. The state has over 600,000 endorsed riders, making Ohio one of the largest states for total ridership. Students, faculty, and parents at Saint Charles Elementary School organized a baby shower for Baby Jesus as the advent service project. They donated diapers, formula, clothing, and more that has been given to Heartbeat of Lima. The organization will hit a milestone next year as they will have been serving mothers and their children up to three years of age. Organizers say this donation will help dozens of babies.

Unity Elementary is offering a "Parent Academy" to offer advice on teaching lessons that parents and children can do together at home. Like using shaving cream to practice letters and writing, playdough to make shapes and practice counting, and magnetic letters on a cookie tray to learn to spell. The parent was given a stocking full of learning tools for each of their students to take home.
