The Mercer County Fair kicked off today in Celina, running now through Aug. 13.
Headlining this year was Hardy, who fans love for his relatable lyrics and mix of country and rock style. Tickets for the show sold out within just fifteen minutes. Though the gates didn't open until 6pm, some people waited outside the gates for most of the day to get the best spots they could to see their favorite artist.
Country music fans have flocked to Fort Loramie for the 41st Country Concert in the Hills. The three-day music festival began Thursday night with country music superstar Carrie Underwood headlining the first day of artists. Organizers say because of the great fan response, tickets for each of the three days have sold out. This after last year they had a record number of people, after having the concert cancelled in 2020 because of covid. Country music duo Brooks and Dunn will be Friday's headliner and Morgan Wallen will be closing out the event on Saturday night.
One of the biggest events in our area is taking this year off and will be ready to entertain country fans in 2021. Country Concert in Fort Loramie has rescheduled their 40th-anniversary event for July 8-10th 2021 and they are hoping to have the same artist they had scheduled for this year, which includes Alan Jackson, Luke Combs, and Jason Aldean. An organizer said they looked at every possible option to have the 2020 event safely for everyone involved.
Country fans flocked to Fort Loramie this weekend to listen to their favorite music in the hot summer sun and be a part of a 36 year legacy.
