Country fans flocked to Fort Loramie this weekend to listen to their favorite music in the hot summer sun and be a part of a 36 year legacy.
The Country Concert music festival has been around since 1981, hosting the best musicians country music has to offer, but the founders of the event say none of it is possible without the volunteers they've had over the years. Tom Steinke, a veteran himself and a veteran of the concert has played a huge role in keeping the event going.
Mike Barhorst, the founder of Country Concert said it all started with a party on his campground, growing larger each year. The Barhorsts say some of the same people come back every year and make it their vacation.
The founder says he hopes to see that tradition and legacy carry on for many years to come.
