A local realty company is looking for high school seniors to take part in their scholarship program. Schrader Realty has announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2025 scholarship program.
High school principal Chad Brinkman and staff members Maureen Rentz and Karissa Hoersten were arraigned on the child endangering charges. The charge stems from an incident that occurred on May 4th, 2021, when an alleged incident of neglect of a student took place. The charges were filed this year and come from the Van Wert City Law Director's Office.
The bands for both Delphos Jefferson and Delphos St. John's held a joint rehearsal ahead of Saturday's big game. Both bands will be performing together before the game to those in attendance. Band Directors Cameron Reed (Delphos Jefferson) and Damon Newell (Delphos St. John's) helped connect each other their students with one another, honing their skills for this Saturday.
Rhodes State College has partnered with local schools to train students to become a part of the essential healthcare workforce right out of the gate after graduation.
The principal announced on Facebook that 43 other students have to be quarantined after contact tracing was done. In-person classes are expected to resume on Tuesday in some form, but this will give the school district until then to prepare for the students return. Plus, students who are in quarantine or have symptoms are prohibited from participating in extra-curricular activities and sports. Teachers will be at the school to assist student through phone or email. Students in the elementary and middle school will be attending school as normal.
Students from both Delphos Jefferson and St. John’s lined up their cars for their senior cruise night and parade. After the ride through town, seniors picked up a goodie bag with some awesome surprises inside. The graduates were happy to see involvement from the community in their graduation.
There's a lot of history to explore within any town, and high schoolers got the opportunity to experience some of Delphos'. Put on by the Delphos Rotary Club for the last 22 years, the senior walking tour brought in over one hundred students from Delphos St. John's, Delphos Jefferson, and Vantage Career Center to take a walk in downtown Delphos and experience some of the older buildings and museums in town.
Finally some good news for a group of Delphos Jefferson High School students after an arduous few weeks.
