The Zero to Hero training prepared future volunteers to help victims of disasters in our area. These volunteers typically respond to house fires, floods, and severe winter weather, where they provide supplies and comfort to people experiencing a crisis.

Beth Schweizter, chief of staff for Rotary District 6600, was one of the team members that traveled to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in February of this year. She attended a project fair to get an idea of the kind of work that needed to be done on the islands. Including the "Fill the Bucket" project to help move water to irrigate crops. She says the work being done is just part of what rotary is all about.

The month of September is National Preparedness Month, a time when you and your family should go over plans to ensure that you are ready to act in case you are faced with an emergency. Be it a fire, heavy storms, or any other emergency that requires you to leave your house for a set amount of time, it's important you think of even the smallest of details to ensure your overall safety.
