Families gathered on Friday morning at the Lima Public Library for Family Friday Story Time.
The Lima Public Library has something for everyone with their programming reaching people from birth to 99 or older. Today was "Family Friday" story time in the Youth Services on the second floor. The activities are geared toward children ages 3 to 5 years of age. There is always some singing, crafting, and, of course, reading. With Halloween approaching, the stories were monster-based, friendly monsters, that is.
The Lima Public Library was bustling with excitement this morning for Family Friday Story Time! The theme was "Community Helpers," where various community leaders, including Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith, Lima police officers, and Lima firefighters, all visited, showing the children what they do. In addition to listening to stories, the kids had the chance to explore a Lima Police Department cruiser and golf cart, along with some dancing with Patches the Fire Dog.
