A 15-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Mercy Health – St. Rita’s just before 6 pm, where he died from his injuries shortly after arriving.
The trial is moving forward for a Lima man charged in a fatal workplace shooting in Putnam County last year.
Lima Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened around 10:30 last night in the 400 block of South Kenilworth Avenue. Police report 31-year-old Nick Roach of Lima was found lying outside a home with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
A Lima man charged with a fatal shooting at a Putnam County trucking company has been found competent to stand trial. 26-year-old Konner Dunklee pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity on the charges of aggravated murder, murder, attempting to commit murder, felonious assault, and assault. After the mental evaluation, he can stand trial on those charges. But his lawyers are looking for a second evaluation.
Earlier in March, two Lima teens were involved in a fatal shooting. One of them succumbed to his injuries. The other one is now wanted for questioning. 16-year-old Albert McDowell, III is no where to be found since March 7th.
