An Ohio state representative wants to make flag planting at Ohio State University stadium illegal. Republican representative Josh Williams from Lucas County introduced the Ohio Sportsmanship Act. The bill is looking to prohibit the planting of a flagpole and flag in the center of the Ohio Stadium football field on the day of a college football game. This is in response to Michigan players trying to plant their flag following their victory against the Buckeyes on November 30th. The action led to a fight between the players and $100,000 fines for both Michigan and Ohio State.

The Lima Exchange Club hammered stakes into the ground and placed around 50 American flags at Springview Manor and Primrose Retirement Community of Lima. This is part of the "Flags for Soldiers" project they've been doing for around 20 years. Club members say they're glad to offer this service because they know that as the stars and stripes fly, the hearts of our local veterans have been touched.
