29-year-old Quintez Burns was wanted by law enforcement and Crime Stoppers after he failed to appear for his trial in September of 2022 for an alleged incident that happened in 2021. Investigators say there was a fight following a basketball game at the YMCA that left a man seriously injured. Burns was also previously scheduled to have a change of plea hearing earlier in summer of 2022 but instead asked for a new attorney after he says they didn't see eye to eye on his defense.
The CBS Network has chosen the Cincinnati Bengals/Baltimore Ravens NFL game to be shown on CBS Lima on Sunday, January 8th at 1 p.m. This decision is out of Your Hometown Stations' control as we had requested to air the Cleveland Browns/Pittsburgh Steelers game. CBS denied that request and informed us that game will only be seen in the Cleveland/Youngstown TV markets in Ohio.

Santa Claus was the grand finale of the Children’s Hometown Holiday parade that also brought nearly 75 different characters to the downtown area, like the Pillsbury Dough Boy and Baby Shark, along with musicians, pageant royalty, and dancers. After the parade, kids could get a present from Santa, go ice skating or for a pony ride, and try their luck at bumper cars and everything was free. Organizers were expecting around 3000 people at the event. Elaine Poppe started the Children's Hometown Holiday because she wanted to make sure that all kids had a great holiday memory and every year she hears from parents who want to give their own kids that same experience.
On Friday, Wapakoneta begins their sixtieth annual Children's Hometown Holiday. There will be a parade, kids can meet Santa, reindeer to pet, outdoor ice skating, and more. For the first time this year, there will also be a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, as well as the return of the popular snowball drop event. It's a good opportunity for parents to get some Christmas shopping done, and take their kids out for some holiday-themed fun.
For years, the Lima Noon Optimist Club has worked with the Lima Salvation Army and the United States Marine Corps Reserve to provide gifts for children in Lima and Allen County on Christmas Day. Today was the kick-off for the 75th year of the national "Toys for Tots" program. Locally more than 750 families received Christmas assistance through the Salvation Army last year with 1,500 children getting something under the tree Christmas morning thanks to the "Toys for Tots" program," explained Paul Downing, coordinator of Toys for Tots.
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Ohio National Guard has honored Your Hometown Stations for helping them spread the word about their activities in the region.
Ordinance 205-22, which designates city parks and outdoor recreational facilities in Lima as smoke and vape-free, went before Lima City Council Monday Evening following a second reading. During their regular Monday session, council members did not act on the ordinance and placed it for a third reading.
