A Lima man is facing multiple felony charges for an August incident where he struck a woman with a gun and had a short standoff with police. 35-year-old Jacquavious Cartwright was indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury on the charges of felonious assault, kidnapping, illegally growing marijuana, and possession of cocaine.   The charges come after an incident on South Union St, where Cartwright allegedly hit a woman with a gun. Then he remained in the house and refused to come out.  Police surrounded the home, and when the Allen County SWAT team arrived, he gave himself up.  Cartwright currently in the Allen County Jail.

The Lima Police Department say they were called out around 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday to a disturbance at 1610 South Union Street. There they spoke with Lane Riley, a woman from Van Wert, who reported that she was assaulted by 34-year-old Jacquavious Cartwright. She reported that a handgun was used by Cartwright and that he was still armed inside the house.
