The Allen County Grand Jury has charged 18-year-old Khyrese Garner, with murder, aggravated burglary, and robbery charges. There were six teenagers charged with Halpern's death. 18-year-olds, Keion Darden, Jaquan Glenn, and Bryanna Houston have their cases going through Allen County Common Pleas Court. Cases of two other teens under 18 years old are going through Allen County Juvenile Court. All of the defendants are facing murder charges.
The Allen County Grand Jury indicted 18-year-old Bryanna Houston on the charges of murder, aggravated burglary, and robbery. She signed a speedy time waiver to give her lawyers more time to prepare for her trial. A total of six teenagers were charged with the death of 17-year-old Jayden Halpern and all of the defendants are facing murder charges.
19-year-old Jaquan Glenn signed a speedy time waiver in Allen County Common Pleas Court. His trial has been moved to February of 2023. Glenn and five other teens were charged with the murder of 17-year-old Jaden Halpern. According to law enforcement, on June 10th, the teens tried to lure Halpern out of his Lane Avenue home.Â
Keion Darden will have his jury trial set for January 9th of 2023. Darden was previously indicted along with 18-year-old Jaquan Glenn on charges of murder, aggravated burglary, and aggravated robbery, all with firearm specifications. On June 10th police responded to 764 West Lane Avenue for a potential home invasion. When they arrived, they found Jaden Halpern who was dead from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Jaquan Glenn entered the plea during his arraignment in Allen County Common Pleas Court. The 18-year-old's bond was also reduced down to five hundred thousand dollars cash assurety. Glenn, along with Keion Darden, was indicted by the Allen County grand jury with one count of murder and two counts of aggravated robbery. All come with a firearm specification.

Allen County Prosecutor Juergen Waldick asked Lima Police Detective Steven Stechschulte who fired the single shot in the residence during the robbery, that ultimately killed Jaden Halpern. According to police, Keion Darden and Jaquan Glenn, both 18 years old, as well as one male and three female juveniles under the age of 18, came up with a plan to rob Halpern. After police say the group taunted the victim, they were able to get entry into the home. Two males of the group had replica guns on their persons.

The Lima Police officers got a call from a person at 764 W. Lane Ave. just before 6 a.m. for a potential home invasion and shooting. There they found a 17-year-old male who died from a gunshot wound. Detectives started interviewing individuals and they have some leads to multiple suspects that they are following up on.
