May 6, 2024, Press Release from Grand Lake Health System: The Diabetic Support Group will meet on Monday evening, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Lake Medical Office Building, Suite D at 1140 S. Knoxville Ave., in St. Marys. The day-time meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 10:00 am, at the Grand Lake Medical Office Building.
Two rotary clubs have found a way to put old medical equipment to good use.
The St. Marys, as well as, the New Bremen-New Knoxville Rotary Clubs helped load up old medical equipment from Vancrest to give to Medical Equipment and Supplies Abroad. The left behind furnishings will go towards countries in need of them in their hospitals. Vancrest moved into a new building around the corner while their old building was bought by Joint Township Hospital. The two clubs salvaged what was left before the building is demolished.
The CEO of Joint Township Hospital and Grand Lake Health System spoke with the St. Marys Rotary Wednesday afternoon. Kevin Harlan talked about some of the things that are going on at the hospital for the last year and a half, including growth on the in-patient side, as well as some of the things that are in the works to expand the hospital on the outpatient side.
Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys and "For the Love of Hospice" is presenting it's 8th annual gala benefiting Grand Lake Hospice. This years theme will be "To Hospice With Love", a James Bond 007 theme.
