LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima City Schools honored 1953 South High School graduate and jazz legend Joe Henderson by renaming their auditorium after him.
Lima Senior High graduating seniors who participated in the visual or performing arts over their 4 years of high school were celebrated during the schools annual Senior Concourse. Student artwork was on display, with students on hand to explain the meaning behind the art.
The Lima City Schools held their annual “Evening with the Arts” Wednesday evening at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center. The event is an old tradition at the school to highlight the talent among the district’s art, music, dance, and instrument staff as they displayed artwork as well as vocal and dance performances.
On Tuesday night Lima City Schools staff got the chance to shine during an annual arts and music showcase. Close to 50 people attended the Lima City Schools 35th annual Evening with the Arts at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center.
