The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is looking into the circumstances behind a fatal accident on Tuesday at Resource Recycling, located on Neubrecht Road in Lima. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, an employee was working on a conveyor around 45 feet off the ground when it was turned on. Officials say the employee fell to their death.

A STABLE account is a specialized savings and investment account for people living with disabilities that allows them to save and invest money without losing eligibility for certain means-tested benefits, such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). STABLE accountholders can save up to $18,000 annually without losing federal assistance, and they can save an additional $14,580 each year if they’re employed. Earnings on STABLE accounts grow tax-free if they are spent on qualified expenses, which include housing, transportation, living expenses, healthcare, assistive technology, and more.
The City of Lima is looking for a new department head and a few other positions in its workforce. The position of the city's public works director is open as former director Kirk Niemeyer has taken a position in the private sector. The public works department addresses the physical needs of the city and is comprised of four divisions: engineering, buildings, streets, and parks, recreation, and forestry. The city is also looking to fill the deputy director of housing and neighborhoods along with a new park ranger. The city's human resources department says the city is a good place to work and offers a great pay package with benefits.

TechCred helps businesses address their workforce needs by upskilling current and prospective employees. Businesses of all sizes, from any industry, are eligible for up to $30,000 per round and up to $180,000 per year. One of the top industries awarded during this round included AI, with 1,061 credentials awarded.
