OhioMeansJobs officials say they have a special skill set that those who have never been in the military may not possess. Veterans move to the top of the list for assistance when looking for employment.
"Well, they can come in and register at OhioMeansJobs. They'll get what's called a career consultant that works with them. Then they can kind of give us their salary range or special skill set, or career they want to look into. And then from there, we'll start pushing those opportunities forward to the vet as they get out," stated Joe Patton, executive director of OhioMeansJobs Allen County.
