The Lima Exchange Club made a big donation on Monday to help struggling parents. They teamed up with the Lima Eagles 370 Club to donate $1,500 to the diaper fund at Allen County Children Services. The fund is used to buy a supply of diapers that will be given out to parents and mothers in need who might be going through a tough time.

The Lima Fraternal Order of Eagles made a generous donation Monday Evening to the Marion Township Police Department. At the Marion Township Board of Trustees meeting in Allen County, James Fair with Lima Eagles 370 presented a $3,000 check to the Marion Township Chief of Police. The donated funds will assist the police department with updating their radio system to the new MARCS system and help fund any other miscellaneous business, which are things Fair believes will benefit the area.
The handheld MARCS radio is an officer's connection to assistance and information in their daily routine. The Elida Police Department is preparing to upgrade their radio system. They currently have the 1st generation MARCS which is now outdated and repair parts are not available. The Lima Eagles 370 Foundation has donated $3,000 towards the purchase of a new radio system for the Elida Police Department.
