Representatives from the West Central Ohio Nursing Leadership toured the Borra Center and got to see how Lima Memorial and Rhodes State are using technology to further a student's education in nursing, such as the use of robots and different test areas to provide a real-life scenario for the students.

Lima Memorial Health System will be providing gifts to area seniors this holiday season. Lima Memorial and the Area Agency on Aging host an annual Senior Angel Tree, where the hospital can "adopt" seniors to provide them with gifts for the holidays.

The City of Lima made a big step toward improving its playground equipment to help make sure every kid can have fun. With a partnership with Lima Memorial Health System, the new and improved handicapped-accessible playground at Lincoln Park is the first all-inclusive playground in Lima. Some features of the newly renovated park include accessibility ramps, a soft artificial turf surface for greater safety, and musical and sensory enhanced equipment. This improvement comes as part of a one million dollar plan to renovate all 13 playgrounds that are located in the eight Lima parks.

Dozens of area high school students were exploring to see if the medical field is what they’re looking for in a career. Lima Memorial Health System holding a Healthcare Career Exploration Day. Students got the chance to see what happens when a patient arrives at the emergency department for treatment. The exploration day is designed to allow students to make decisions about career opportunities through real-life experiences.
