Lima Memorial Health System has named longtime leader Burlin Sherrick as its new chief operating officer, effective June 1, 2026, as part of a planned leadership transition.
The location offers family medicine, on-site lab services and access to specialty care, including cardiology and general surgery.

Friends of the Lima Memorial Foundation took part in a black-tie event with networking, gourmet food, a live auction, and the fund-a-need paddle raise at Thursday night's Journey 2023. All proceeds and donations from the event will be put towards the creation of a dedicated observation unit at Lima Memorial to better care for patients presenting less urgent, but still serious health symptoms, like cardiac issues.
The Lima Memorial Foundation kicked off Project Illuminate during a private event at the Lima Memorial Medical Park Monday evening. Patients and caregivers impacted by kidney disease shared their experience dealing with it and expressing their excitement for a facility that would specialize in treating kidney disease as well as having their messages float in the pond behind the medical park.
Ethan Jordan, a 17-year-old from Lima, began his project for the health system’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center in June. He captures familiar landmarks from the area, such as the fairgrounds and Kewpee, to connect patients under treatment to the outside world.
