During sentencing, family members of the victim spoke out against Brown calling him a monster for what he did to the young boy, who has suffered psychological damage from the incidents according to the prosecutor. Brown refused to speak during the hearing, but his lawyer said that he plans to appeal the conviction. Brown was also classified as a tier three sex offender.
