Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center has been recognized as the region’s first “Pediatric Ready” emergency department, highlighting its commitment to specialized, high-quality care for children through 2029.

Students of Project SEARCH will embark on three 10-week internships throughout the school year. Eleven students with developmental disabilities are enrolled this year. One person was transported to the hospital earlier this evening following a shooting in Lima. The Lima Police Department was called just after 5:30 this evening by an individual who claimed to have shot someone. When police arrived at the Lima Apartments location on Fourth Street, they found one man wounded. He was then transported to Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center for his injuries.
This summer, Mercy Health St. Rita’s has been working on a unique fundraiser among their staff. Today, they made a donation from the fundraiser to the Putnam County Foundation, who focus on helping other organizations and non-profits to achieve their goals.
