A Coldwater man has been arrested following a search warrant executed at his residence Monday afternoon. 55-year-old Jeffery Marbaugh was arrested and transported to the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility for felony possession of drugs. On Monday, the Mercer County Sheriff's Office suspected drug activity at Marbaugh's residence at 502 West Plum Street in Coldwater and obtained a search warrant from the Celina Municipal Court.

September 18, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol: COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against three individuals from multiple states following a traffic stop in Shelby County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 6 pounds of methamphetamine worth approximately $24,000. On September 14, around 12:05 p.m., troopers stopped a 2012 Hyundai Sonata with Tennessee registration for a moving violation on Interstate 75. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed the contraband.
Employees involved with drugs can be up to 50% less productive, and the goal is preventing on-the-job injuries or illness. The leader of the program says drug use is a growing problem for various industries, especially with the legalization and acceptance of marijuana. The goal is to raise awareness of the dangers these drugs present.
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that the HIT Team (Heroin Interdiction Team) conducted a detail on Tuesday (August 9, 2022). The detail focused on stopping the use and transportation of narcotics. The HIT Team is made up of members of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Celina Police Department and Coldwater Police Department. The Grand Lake Task Force also assisted with this detail.
36-year-old Adam Steinbrunner of Fort Recovery was pulled over by deputies for not staying between the lines Wednesday afternoon. The K-9 unit was called in and found a container with a hidden compartment that held six grams of meth and a pipe. Steinbrunner was arrested and charged with possession of drugs. Bond was set at $50,000. The hit detail made 14 traffic stops and two other people were arrested on outstanding warrants and six citations were issued.
