This will be the 68th year for their fundraising breakfast. It serves a couple of thousand people each year their choice of blueberry or regular pancakes, sausage, and choice of drink.
46-year-old Antrea Hardy had a video arraignment Friday afternoon in Lima Municipal Court. Hardy was charged with felonious assault for a shooting that happened Monday morning at the Imperial Inn on North Street in Lima. The victim, 40-year-old Cory Adkins, had a single gunshot wound and was listed as critical but stable condition after the shooting.
Some local students took flight, as they learn a little more about drones thanks to Rhodes State College. The Rhodesology mini-camp Saturday morning focused on precision agriculture drones, similar to the ones that local professionals use in the fields. The mini-camps are for kids second through seventh grade and are just a sample of the hands on activities that the students would do during the Rhodesology week long summer camps. The students showed of their flying skills on drones that were more advanced than they are used to.

The pursuit began south of Bluffton just after 3:30 a.m. Monday morning when troopers tried to pull over the driver of a Dodge Charger for a traffic violation and no registration. The car sped up the interstate, hitting speeds up to 140 miles per hour at times. It was found a few minutes later empty at a rest stop in Hancock County.
The Lima Fire Department received a call just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning of heavy smoke coming from a home at 125 W. O'Connor Avenue. They found extensive fire damage to the rear and upstairs of the house. We are told all occupants left the building prior to arrival with no injuries. Lima fire investigators were on sight as the blaze is believed to be suspicious. American Township was also called in to help out.

Fresh of his performance with the Lima Symphony Orchestra on Friday night, Cellist Henry Shapard entertained a different crowd at the Mornings with the Maestro hosted by the Lima Public Library. During the event, he showed the kids just how fun and versatile the cello can be, by demonstrating how is reflect different emotions and even mimic some animal sounds. Shapard started playing the Cello when he was three years old and says playing for children are his favorite performances.
The Lima Fire Department is still investigating a fire that severely damaged a home early Friday morning. Fire crews were called to 545 Michael Avenue around midnight. When they arrived, fire was on both the first and second stories of the home, the fire also caused a partial collapse of the roof. No one was home at the time of the fire, neighbors says the residents were home before the fire started. Fire officials are still trying to determine the cause, but they believe the fire started in the rear of the home near the back porch.
