A man remains in critical condition after being shot earlier today just north of the city. Allen County deputies called out to the 2000 block of North West Street at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Scanner traffic said the victim was shot in the arm and leg near Bill's Drive-thru. The area was roped off as detectives started their investigation. The suspect took off towards the Brower Road Apartments and authorities say he was arrested a short time later.

Multiple people were sent to the hospital after a crash on Wednesday. This happened around 11:15 am at the Marathon gas station on North West Street.

They have moved into one of the buildings at the former Ohio Department of Transportation on North West Street. The county acquired the property several years ago. This new building allows all the EMA, bomb squad, and SWAT team equipment to be under one roof better to serve the community in times of crisis.

A piece of state-owned property could possibly be turned over to Allen County if it would be cost effective.
