Students at Lima City Schools came together to propose a new dress code, as well as hearing the community's input.

Math can sometimes have a bad stigma to it, but for Liberty Arts Magnet School, it can be a game. Family math night had parents and their kid’s learning math through games and activities.

Parent Charles Bott said the support his son has received from teachers has made a significant difference.

“He didn’t have no interest at all, and he was kind of blah about school altogether, and he got inspired by his choir teacher,” Bott said. “Ever since then, he’s had quite a few teachers that keep him inspired to keep going. And now he’s even talking about going to college because of it.”

Students and their families enjoyed karaoke, games, and a variety of activities organized by Freedom Elementary staff.
