Lima, OH (WLIO) - Since 1887 when it was called the Lima Board of Trade, the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce has spent 135 years helping…
We talked to the Republican and Democratic candidates for Ohio governor about the two state issues that are on the November 8th ballot and got their opinions on both of them.
Tarockis Greer is facing charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and two counts of felonious assault. This case all began back in July of 2021 where Lima Police say that they were called to the 1600 block of west Wayne street for a possible shooting. There they found three victims inside the home that had been pistol-whipped during an apparent robbery. Two shots were fired in the incident. Greer as well as his co-defendant, Durand Tyson, were both indicted for the incident later that year.
Following Congressman Jim Jordan's announcement that he would not cooperate with the January 6th Select Committee, a candidate on the Democratic side is responding. Jeff Sites is running for Ohio's 4th Congressional District as a Democrat, and says that Jim Jordan's refusal to testify is a failure to keep his oath to uphold the Constitution.
Jordan published his letter to the committee on his Twitter account saying that he has no relevant information for the committee about pro-Trump supporters raiding the capital a year ago, when lawmakers were certifying the November 2020 presidential election results. We asked the 4th district congressman about the committee’s request before he spoke to the Allen County Republicans, and this is what he had to say about the committee.
