Incumbents held their seats and the Republicans won largely across the state but it may not have been party lines that nudged people to the polls for the midterm election.

For their first debate of this election season, Ohio Gubernatorial candidates Mike DeWine and Richard Cordray squared off tonight at the University of Dayton. 

Politicians have begun to hit the campaign trail hard with just two months until mid-term elections.

It was a messy primary election, but the two parties now are regrouping to get behind their candidate to win the governor's race.
