Gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray's campaign trail led him to Lima on Friday.
When catching up with Cordray, he said he's continuing to talk about his key issues of education, economy, and healthcare. On education, he said Ohio must close the skills gap by the state working with community colleges and apprenticeships. He continues to touch on health care, stating if elected, he wants to bring the cost of healthcare down, by cutting out the middleman and lowering costs for prescription drugs, using the state's negotiating leverage.
"The big difference in this race has been I will protect people who have a pre-existing condition from losing their insurance coverage and Mike DeWine fought very hard to take that away from them because he served the insurance companies that back him in his campaign," said Richard Cordray.
Cordray and his opponent Mike DeWine will appear on your November 6th ballot for governor.
