It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Downtown Lima! On Friday evening, the Christmas tree on Town Square in Downtown Lima was lit up for Mix 103.3's annual "Flip the Switch."
Thousands of people flocked to Shawnee Township Saturday evening to kick off the Christmas season! Over 2,000 people came out to the "It's Roundabout Christmas!" A large and festively decorated Christmas tree was lit up at the Fort Amanda and Shawnee Road roundabout. Before the Christmas tree lighting, Shawnee Township Police escorted jolly ole' Santa Claus from The North Pole with the side of the street lined up of families welcoming in old Saint Nicholas' arrival. This is the first year of "It's Roundabout Christmas," and organizers say celebrating the holidays builds community bonding.
