After months of controversy and heated debate, Lima city Council members voted tonight to pass the mayor's salary. It passed 7-1, and was a quick and uneventful vote. 

A special meeting was called to council chambers Monday evening to continue the discussion of the mayor's salary.

After weeks of controversy, tonight's heated Lima city council meeting's decision on the mayor's salary, ended in a 4-4 vote. Meaning, the mayor's salary will stay the same. The motion to freeze the mayor's salary was shot down. 

After having an initial meeting about the mayors rapidly increasing salary, Lima's Finance Committee called for another meeting, still not coming to a full agreement.

Lima City Council held a special finance committee meeting Tuesday evening.
