The city is holding workshops to help ease the pain.

At the Tuesday Evening sessions, Mayor Smith received insight from paramedics at the Lima Fire Department, community health care officials, and neighborhood & small business owners about how the city and community can help put a stop to gun violence in Lima.

Friday Night Dances is a beloved tradition for the City of Lima, and this year marks the eightieth year of these dances. This Friday Night's dance session was ballroom dancing, and dozens of people came out to make their dancing debut to the foxtrot, swing, and rumba. For those wanting to expand their dancing palette, more styles of dance and music are planned to arrive in Lima.
The events unfolding in Ukraine are having an effect across the globe not only economically but emotionally as well and a local organization wants to offer an outlet for those emotions. The Lima Interfaith Fellowship group will be holding a Zoom prayer session for the people of Ukraine and the world. They are inviting people of all faiths and walks of life to join them in what they hope will be a healing effort.
The event was held by the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin County. Currently, there is a 30% shortage of Mental Health and Recovery experts in the local area. The sessions hope to deliver enough information to potential students on how they can enter the field. Colleges from the area were also on hand to inform potential students on what they can learn in their respective field, from maintaining relationships and establishing connections.
