City of Lima human resource officials say that taking a test may be an issue for some individuals and is holding them back from applying for employment. The city requires people to take a civil service test as part of the application process. Some people freeze or get anxious when it comes to testing. The city is holding workshops to help ease the pain.

"And we want to make sure that the community has resources that will help them avoid the anxiety when test taking. Because that is how you obtain a position for the most part with the City of Lima. So we don't want that to be a barrier. We don't want that to be a hindrance," said Della Bradford, human resources director, City of Lima.

That workshop is Thursday, August 18th with two sessions to choose from. Session one is 11 a.m. to noon and session two is 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. They are being held at Ohio Means Jobs Allen County at 951 Commerce Parkway.
