So far this year, the agency has had twelve children find a forever home through adoption, triple the amount of last year. It's been one of the busiest years that Allen County Children Services has had, but there are still 10 children between the ages of 3 and 17 waiting for a permanent home, and that list could grow. So the call is going out for loving families to step forward and learn about the rewards of providing a child with a loving place to call home.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is looking into the circumstances behind a fatal accident on Tuesday at Resource Recycling, located on Neubrecht Road in Lima. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, an employee was working on a conveyor around 45 feet off the ground when it was turned on. Officials say the employee fell to their death.
The City of Lima is looking for a new department head and a few other positions in its workforce. The position of the city's public works director is open as former director Kirk Niemeyer has taken a position in the private sector. The public works department addresses the physical needs of the city and is comprised of four divisions: engineering, buildings, streets, and parks, recreation, and forestry. The city is also looking to fill the deputy director of housing and neighborhoods along with a new park ranger. Representatives from UAW Local 1219, Lima Troy Area CAP Council, and the United Steelworkers are speaking out about their concerns with the lack of respect they say Moreno has for Ohio workers. With the court actions against him for not paying earned overtime to his own employees and the NBC news report that he has bought land to get back into the auto sales businesses, these laborers say that's not what Ohio needs.

Brown has been involved in legislation to bring chip manufacturing to Ohio, get benefits for veterans who were exposed to toxic chemicals during their service, and other bills that lead to better jobs and pay for workers.
