The union members are trying to get their message out before voters head to the polls in November.

Representatives from UAW Local 1219, Lima Troy Area CAP Council, and the United Steelworkers are speaking out about their concerns with the lack of respect they say Moreno has for Ohio workers. With the court actions against him for not paying earned overtime to his own employees and the NBC news report that he has bought land to get back into the auto sales businesses, these laborers say that's not what Ohio needs. They say Senator Sherrod Brown has supported them in the past and will continue to support them when he is re-elected.

"Well, as a staff representative, I fight against exactly what Bernie Moreno is every single day. Against people that want to take advantage of our workers. Sherrod has always had our backs. I have walked with him on picket lines. I've done trade cases with him. He's just a phenomenal support for our workers. Bernie Moreno, not so much," said Tiffany McKee, civil & human rights coordinator for USW District 1.

"I have been in varied conversations with Sherrod Brown for well over a decade and stuff. He's always listened, he's always been interactive, he's always found the solutions to our problems, and I felt responsible to support him; he supports us," said George Jeffries, Lima Troy Area UAW Council chairperson.

"Sherrod's one where we never have to call him. He calls us. As a matter of fact, you guys interviewed me in 2021. He saw it and asked me what we need. So, that's proof," said Jeff Adams, president of UAW Local 1219.
