Unity Elementary families rolled up their sleeves tonight for a hands-on cooking experience with Lima Senior’s culinary program.

The program teaches students both front- and back-of-house skills, including cooking, baking, and customer service, preparing them to enter the workforce straight out of high school. Many students pursue the course out of a love for cooking and with hopes of a future career in the restaurant industry.
Superintendent Jill Ackerman announced that this year’s event will begin with a pep rally aimed at reinforcing the importance of public school education and showcasing the district’s achievements.
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It was all about the food today at Lima Senior High School’s Spartan Inn.
The doors opened at an exclusive restaurant in Lima that teaches students the in's and out's of the food industry. The Spartan Inn is once again serving lunch and is asking the public to give them a try. The restaurant is located in the northwest wing at Lima Senior High School. It's open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The culinary students learn all aspects of the business from the front of the house to the kitchen, making the food, and cleaning up. The program is popular with students as they look forward to a career in the industry.
The Spartan Inn at Lima Senior is now open for business. The student run restaurant inside the high school is serving up buffet style meals that the public is invited to come enjoy.
