Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose traveled to Allen County on Friday to speak with students at Spencerville High School before Election Day. The visit is part of Secretary LaRose's "Youth at the Booth" initiative for high school students ages 17 and up. On Friday afternoon, Spencerville juniors and seniors listened to Secretary LaRose talk about how they can participate in the November election as poll workers experiencing American democracy in-person while being paid and completing any volunteer hours. Additionally, Secretary LaRose reminded those Spencerville students who will be 18 by Election Day to vote and defy any voter stereotypes against the younger population.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The silent members of school bands got the spotlight all to themselves at the fair on Sunday.

Lima, OH (WLIO) - Ohio State's Columbus campus sent their Men's and Women's Glee Clubs to Lima to perform alongside local high school students.

The Kiwanis Club of Lima rewarding one local high school senior with the Ronald W. Richards Scholarship. This year's winner was Ash Plummer from Spencerville High School, who received the scholarship on Monday afternoon. Every year, the Kiwanis Club awards a $4,000 scholarship to a high school senior who plans to pursue a musical career from a four-year college.

Students at Spencerville High School took a break from their normal schedule to get up and get moving! 

For students in high school, certain topics can be a little tricky to talk about - and that’s why one Spencerville student took initiative and teamed up his high school with St. Rita’s to hold the Spencerville Mental Health Awareness Day 2017.
