The West Ohio Food Bank is making a few changes to better serve those needing nutritious food. They will now be holding their food distribution days on the fourth Thursday of the month with the next on February 25th. Pre-registration is required and they have added the opportunity to sign up at their office or at Saint Marks United Methodist Church along with their online and phone registration. The goal is to better serve those in need.
On Sunday morning one area church celebrated 100 years in the Lima community.

It's becoming increasingly difficult for area organizations and agencies to find volunteers and even harder to keep them. The City of Lima Neighborhood Support Program and the Lima Allen County Neighborhoods in Partnerships are working to help groups understand how to engage, retain, and develop a continued commitment from volunteers. They are doing so by holding a series of interactive workshops based around volunteerism that are free and open to the public.
It's all about community and what the Lima area has to offer to help residents succeed.
